Wheat Ridge Cyclery kicked-off the 2011 Season with the Colorado High School Cycling League. Special guest was Garmin / Cervelo pro Tom Danielson, who just took 5th place overall in the US Pro Challenge; Brady Kappius, pro mountain biker; Mike West, pro mountain biker.

Thank you, Wheat Ridge Cyclery, for supporting the league!

WRC crowds

It was a great turnout! A lot of clothing was donated too, which will assist new riders.

Brady started off captivating the audience with his experiences racing for the School of Mines while earning a Bachelor's and a Master's degree.

Primal, another huge supporter of the high school mountain bike league, gave away a couple of kits.

Mike West was next addressing the crowds. It was great to hear their personal experience on how they became professional racers.

Next was Ariana and I, here is when she told the crowds I "forced" her to mountain bike!

I was describing to the crowd how Ariana started riding bikes when she was this small.

Kate Rau, Executive Director of the League - without her none of this would have been possible!

Tom Danielson had some amazing stories from the Tour de France and the USA Cycling Pro Challenge.

Tom's wife helped to draw names for the raffle.

Finally, the night ended with Tom signing autographs.

Ariana was a happy camper getting her Tommy D shirt signed!
